Last night's snowstorm fizzled out, resulting in only an inch (2 cm) of the stuff. Temperature 23 F /-5 C, but the extra work required due to the snow kept me quite warm, even though I was only wearing Gortex windbreakers over my suit. I figured it had warmed up a lot ftom yesterday until I got to work and checked the thermometer.

I got to make "first tracks" over an unplowed mile of my trip and "second tracks" over another mile. Everything else was clear.

The big reward was that nice "swoosh" sound and feel of tires rolling through fresh, dry snow.
