Looks to be in great shape! I like it. If it were mine I'd consider fitting Shimano MTB 8-speed brifters. I've done a couple of Koga's with flat bars and (black) Acera's. They are cheap, easy to install, don't look too nasty, and work well. Makes for a zippy bike, that's very easy to ride, especially in hilly country.
