It's basically just a bike-unfriendly road, like 76 or 78 here in North County.
Actually, CA law
requires bicycles take the lane on a road such as this. What's funny is that I ride out there pretty regularly, and have found drivers to be nothing but patient and courteous. Especially at night. Yes, I ride out there at night, and it is effing wonderful. However, it is a low traffic road, and there are plenty of spots where you can pull to the right edge of the lane and have room to be passed safely. For what it's worth, I think we've been trolled.
