1970 Beaver by EE Company 10spd Touring

So, out looking for old furniture to refinish with my girlfriend, I always keep my eyes peeled for bicycles to fix up and ride or get other people into cycling. So, at this small vendors outlet I spy a dark green 10 spd touring bike that looked to be in the 1970's era. I could not find a price, so at checkout I ask about the bike. They call the vendor and $40 later the bicycle is going home with me.

It has a head badge of Beaver, EE Company, and sticker on the downtube that says Beaver, and directly under the seat post Madisonville Schwinn. It has shimano 400 components, friction shifters, cottered cranks, drop bars, dual brake levers for upright riding and drop bar riding.

I have googled and bing'd until my eyes are sore. Anyone got any information?
