Bikes almost always start off for me with a Frame.
I did end up with an almost complete ensemble of French bits. Naturally those required a French frame.
Ended up with a complete French bike for the price of what a frame might run. So, either I reconfigure that or still look for another from France.

I thought I had found a reasonably priced Bruce Gordon touring frameset recently until a garden implement fell on the top tube.
A nice, big dent ensued.
I wanted a little cleaner specimen to start out with on a build, so I passed.
Still looking for the elusive Bruce Gordon frameset and I am too thrifty to have a new one built atm.
