Sounds private label/department store quality. Dept store/private label bikes rarely/never show up on google, as there were thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands of brands back then. Depending on condition, $40 would be full value.
I'm not even worried about money, i bought it to fix up as a cheap commuter/cargo. I'll post pics soon. All I wanted was more information on the make and model. Just background or history. I've already started to break it down, polish parts, and going to paint asap. Was hoping to see if the make or model had a specific color/pattern to mimic.
