Here's the third Trek in my family, it's my GFs Trek 1000. It's mid-rebuild here, I'm almost done installing 8 speed triple for her, because the 9 speed double didn't have enough "easy" gears for her (granted, it was running 53/42 up front and she's not a serious cyclist...)

I've also put on a set of Nitto randonneur bars because she has wrist problems and can't always reach around the shifters to shift; my thought is that the upswing in the randonneur bars will put the levers out more so that she won't have to push inwards as far to shift. Plus she likes the thumb-paddles on the Sora shifters.
