Homey was partly right. I tightened the QR and the creaking went away. Then on a ride this weekend I got real scared. I was on a steep descent so a lot of weight was on my hands and with this pressure the creeking started up again.

I am sufficiently scared to start looking for a new fork and avoid steep roads until then. Any suggestion for a cheap fork preferably carbon. My current is a Richey WCS.
