Thanks for all the info and links, I will dig through them and do some reading. The
USAF N-1B mukluks look interesting and they would match my mittens. 
I have also been looking at the Kamiks, they are available locally and are more in my price range than the Stegers. Thanks again, SORRY TO THE OP for the thread hijack, I hope the info was helpful to others.
