I'm gonna concur with the majority opinion.
I ride well lit and reflective, plus You can see the other vehicles better.
That said Jim's rules are worth repeating:
- "When riding in the dark, look for cars, not just headlights."
- “Make yourself as visible as possible, and assume that no one sees you.”
