Our shop has built several wheelsets with CK hubs and Shimano hubs using HED Belgium rims. They are expensive, but offer excellent ride characteristics, quality, and durability. Plus they are available with 24, 28, or 32 hole drilling.
+1 HED Belgiums are very sweet. My favorite wheel set is R45 hubs laced with 32 CXray spokes, 3 cross pattern, laced to Belgium rims. I weigh 165 lbs. and these are extremely durable, stiff and, with 23 mm tires inflated to 90 to 95 psi, comfortable wheels to train on.
