I'm sure the initial issue was simply a noise ordinance violation.
This is a textbook case of how *not* to act when stopped by a cop.
NYPD's animosity towards cyclists is legendary, so I personally can see why some NYC cyclists have an axe to grind when it comes to NYPD and it's officers.
