It's a decent article and puts discs in a decent light, but again, it solves problems that most of us don't have. The picture may change when the cost difference is small and when they're common and when bikes equipped with them are common. I don't care, at least not yet.
And that encapsulates it in a nutshell. When you look at every major technology advancement that actually stuck in road cycling, it either solved a need or was a compelling "want." Right now, I can't see road discs fitting into either. Most people don't need discs from a function standpoint and they're not the kind of "sexy" thing that people will demand like a nice CF frame.
