Nice find of a 1st Gen Miata, bikedued! Great handlers, and the mislabled chick's car rep is another one of those stupid 'merican mentality macho phobic ideas. Like riding a pink bike.
I'm surprised for such a big guy, you're able to fit it. I've never tried a Gen-1, but test drove a Gen-2, and found my line of sight was the top of the windshield frame, GRRR!
Loved the way it drove, though. I could see out the new Gen-3, but the buffed body lost some of the lean lines and light handling.
One of the shortcomings of the RX-8 was very poor freezing temp operation. It simply won't start. An owner I knew in Montreal basically couldn't drive it in Winter.
