Creaky cleat/pedal

I thought I had a creaky pedal so I took them off, cleaned the spindles, re-greased and installed. It didnt help. Today I found that when Im clipped in and I move my foot left and right within the confines of the float THATS when I hear the creak. I took pressure off the pedal and repeated the action and it still creaks so it has something to do with the cleat contacting the pedal.

Thoughts on how to remedy this? I cant see using grease in this instance...LOL.

They are Shimano 105 pedals with yellow cleats.

Thanks.
