The tour is the biggest bike event here in Tucson and supposedly the biggest race/ tour event of it's kind in the country. It has four main race lengths of 107, 80, 56, and 38 miles (plus shorter fun rides), and I rode in the 38 miler yesterday on my old steel framed 83 Team Fuji.

I beat all my goals (time, place) in really crappy weather....It rained pretty hard for the first half, and then I rode into a head wind for the second half.

I finished 80th out of 937 riders with a time of 2:27:27.38 (it was electronically timed). It a was good time despite the weather, and I'm doubly pleased by my performance yesterday.
