First,there are no businesses on this strip of road. Second,the houses have garages and/or driveways. One of the commenters on WashCycle complained that,even though they had lived in their house of quite awhile,they couldn't park in their driveway because it needed repair. So they believe they should be allowed to park in the street because they are too cheap/lazy to take care of their property. These are the kind of people who are fighting this. They've been getting a free ride on the taxpayers' dime and now it might go away.
