27x1 1/4 = 32mm. I mention it so your calibration is not off, although I doubt you'll have a problem fitting a 35mm on the U-08. you may just get something bigger than expected.

The Michelin looks like a solid choice. I'm pretty sure that's what I put on a friend's mixte when I updated it for her. That was the best choice the LBS stocked in 27".
