They're simple LEDs wired together in a clear plastic tube. Really simple to build but for the lazy people like me I'll throw cash at someone to do it. You can get them from two places, both of which are not affiliated with one-another but have virtually identical products and names:
CycleLights and
Cycle Lights.
I got mine from the latter before I knew of the former, which worked out either way as they're cheaper through them and have a small little plastic bit to keep the LED tubes wedged together. Had I come across both I'd probably have gone with the first one.
I've had them for just over a month. They're attention grabbing and really cheap, so it's a win-win. I had gotten them just for ample side visibility, the cool factor is just an added bonus.
