Years ago I figured out that Thanksgiving was my favorite holiday. Even my grand daughter agrees with me that thanksgiving is about giving thanks and Christmas is mostly about receiving gifts. They're opposites.

We got the thickest newspaper of the year this morning. It's all Christmas ads. Thanksgiving is in the process of morphing into just another shopping day for Christmas. One national chain is actually advertising that they are closing from 4:00 to 7:00 so their employees can have dinner with their families. How sensitive of them. I'm wondering if whoever made that decision will be working today. I'm sick of stuff like this.
