I'm in the process of putting back together a mint 1985 Miyata 610 that I picked up the day after Thanksgiving. All is great condidtion stock, including the tires that have no cracks, no flaking of the gumwalls, etc. The stock derailleurs are shimano, FD Z206-gs and RD L514-sgs, with shimano 412 dt shifters. The crankset is Sugino TGT LP 52-44-28 (a little big on the top end, but I guess that will be for flying downhill) , shimano AT-50 cantilever brakes, Sunshine Gyro Master hubs with Ukai 16-a2 27" rims, 40 hole rear, 36 in front. Yesterday on ebay I stumbled across a mint set of the Cyclone MKII GT derailleurs for $20. I'm picking them up tomorrow and will switch them out with the Shimano (which I will likely put on the Miyata 210 that I'm rebuilding for my wife, since I replaced the stock 5 spd freewheel with 6).

I'm now stalking Craigs and ebay for decently priced suntour barcons to complete the 610 build. Let me know if any of you wants to "give" a set away

Looking at how that's built- it's the 'no nonsense, get the job done' build.

The first thing that struck me was the Z206 FD... That thing must've been on everything- it shifted doubles and triples well, it looks nice, and it's supremely functional.

Was that bike on the SE Wisconsin/Chicago area Craigslist? If so, I almost pulled the trigger on that bike several times.
