From your post, where you bring in the EPA statistics, one may get an impression the the ecological situation is improving constantly.

think ourselves. Have you noticed that the rubber tires on a car become thinner with driving? Where does this rubber go? It turns into the fine rubber dust, which is left behind on a road. It is the mother of all pollutants. The tires rubber consists mainly from the sulphur and soot.
You would not deny that the number of Immoral Machines is growing. The weight of some cars and the size of tires is also growing.
It seems to be self evident that the amount of the pollution is growing.
