Some JB Weld or other epoxy wouldn't hurt but I doubt that it would be necessary. I got an extra hole in one of my rims years ago from a scaffolding nail and all I did was smooth it out a bit and put an extra bit of rim strip tape on the inside. The wheel has been fine ever since with no sign of any cracking.
