Exactly my POV about the commercial weather doomsayers, too much like broadcast news or newspapers, "if it bleeds it leads" school of journalism and meteorology. The WC for example is now owned by NBC, they want to make it a force in programing rather than sticking to the simple weather information we actually need. If it can be sensationalized it will be broadcast, loudly.
Now you know why I call it The Hyperbole Channel.
