heres the deal;
3 layers of Alloy tube.. 1 sleeve inside , bar halves of 7/8", and slit sleeve outside
squeezes the whole thing together, when stem tightened around bars..

a small bolt thru the face plate puts the split, consistently, in the center...
works same if stem face doesnt open, 1 bolt bar clamp around 1" tube..
