Thanks but I'll sacrifice a bit of speed for a camp comfort and day to day convenience. Ultralight touring just isn't my cup of tea. Over the years, I've done enough unloaded mountain riding to know that I'd use very similar gears and my speed would be only a couple of miles per hours faster.
And it's total weight that matters on climbs. Rider + bike + stuff. In my case, saving 5 lbs is about a 2% effect.
