That's an interesting suggestion, to file off the business end of the screw.
Unfortunately A) I need to set it deeper (to hold back the throw a bit) and B) with this design the "engagement" end of the screw is not even visible or exposed. It is weirdly buried in the body of the beast. They are completely inaccessible.
