Unfortunately A) I need to set it deeper (to hold back the throw a bit) and B) with this design the "engagement" end of the screw is not even visible or exposed. It is weirdly buried in the body of the beast. They are completely inaccessible.
This is why I work on the stop cam, not the screw itself. If you need to restrict movement only a tiny bit, you can possibly build up the cam a bit with JBweld, or super glue a piece of steel shim stock.

The cam is easy to access, remove the screw holding the cage's upper arm in and slice it out.
