Or do the Kokopelli Trail, it's typically a 5 day supported off-road excursion, Fruita to Moab. Problem is you will want to explore the Fruita area for a day or two as well as Moab for a couple more, and next thing you know you've purchased a used motor home and are living out of that while you explore Colorado. Then New Mexico, then Arizona, then Utah, then Idaho and HEY !, it's not that far to Oregon, and Washington.......
