Hey Cateye experts-my mighty 8 has gone haywire!
I flipped my stem last week, and ever since then it has had several problems-Consistency and accuracy.
Most of the time it does not read any speed whatsoever, and then on occasion it will jump up to 95 MPH or something silly like that, then down to 4 MPH, then to about where I might be for speed, and then goes back to zero. The magnet is lined up, and all that jazz, so that should not be an issue. The wheel size is selected correctly. I tried clearing out the computer, but that did not work. I am wondering if a wire got pulled or something, but that doesn't explain why it jumps speeds on occasion.
Any ideas? It is a little absurd as this comp is a month old. I have been wanting a cadence feature, so I am wondering if I should just chuck the Mighty 8 for an Astrale 8.
But in the mean time, any suggestions on what might be wrong?
