If you want to brag in style. I would suggest Patek Philippe Calatrava. Extra points for wearing the dial on the backside of your forearm.
The topic of this thread is vintage bikes and watches. My favorite vintage watches are “tool” AKA “sport” watches. Beefy? Sure but also rugged, multifunction and easy to read. It seems to me that as long as your performance will not suffer from having an extra six ounces they are ideal for most activities. In the past they tended to be larger than dress watches although these days many watches have grown to mammoth proportions. Bragging? I wish they would get me a better seat in a restaurant but they don’t.
If this thread asked the question “What watch did racers wear back in the day while racing” I would probably would not have had anything to share. I would like to see the answer to that question though.
