Don't use Easy Off, instead simply go down to a local car parts store and get a can of aluminum polish such as Mothers Billett or Mequires Hot Rims Polish, I think the Mothers is a bit better but slightly more difficult to take off. And if the aluminum is really bad start off with Autosol then finish with Mothers Billet.
