Yeah the terrain/regroup thing makes sense. I don't have a problem with it, it's just different.
Being new to a ride in WA, you can guess where the sprints are based on entering/leaving cities and counties. One exception to that was an "east/west" divider sign on Vashon Island, that only says "E" or "W" based on which direction you're going, and it's the size of a mile-marker sign. That one was easy to miss!
But more sprints = more fun, so I'm all for it.
