Yes, this is usually true with 105 and higher. But might not be worth the effort on Tiagra and lower. Calipers and crankset won't go nearly that high as they aren't Shimano and other things (saddle, etc.) are stock/house brand stuff with little resale value. Frame price seems a bit optimistic as well...but you forgot the STI's and derailluers. I'd guess one could net $500, but it does take a little work.
Good point. I didn't know they were Tiagra, I am at work and didn't take the time to look into the detailed list provided. I would agree with everything said here, though there have been a lot of people on slowtwitch and paceline that are fine with the stock parts and use a little acetone if they are looking for cheap pieces to complete a bike.
