Bikes: old ones

...this turned out to be one of those projects where you "learn a lot".

One of the previous owners had hugely upgraded many components to
Campy stuff, but whoever did the work made the bike completely unridable.

It took me several tries to figure out the crank. Then when I finally thought
I had it done, the test ride seated it just enough to start a small ticking
interference with the chainstay.........good times.

It has a 71mm BB shell, a la Raleigh/Carlton, but threaded standard, which
threw me off until I finally thought to measure it. Whoever replaced it had
no clue at all as to what was going on.

The fast taper on the stays make it pretty springy......not a fast bike, but a
comfortable one in most respects.
