You may have put on some extra padding, but the sit bones of your Pelvis dont get wider as a result.
Females of course have wider ones . men don't have to pass a baby's head through theirs.
Wider saddles is more about Posture while riding.. Road bikes , narrow .. sit upright Wider .
and if you have to bend over, those road bikes.. try to bend above the hips , so the soft bits dont get pressed onto the saddle nose . pelvis more upright.
