So I went out for a nice ride yesterday, and I was reminded of some important lessons:
1. Be carful riding through large puddles. There may be irregular potholes underneath.
2. Bring your pump with you even for short rides. I got a flat and for some stupid reason did not have a pump.
3. If you carry C02, bring an extra cannister in case of operator and/or equipment failure. My first cartridge somehow partially discharged in the inflator before I could get the air in.
4. After you flat, be sure to inspect the tire very carefully and try to remove the shard or whatever caused the flat. Or you will reflat.
Luckily, although I did not have my pump, I had the c02 and found the glass that was stuck in the tread which caused the flat. It was a pretty decent sized piece, maybe 3 x 3 mm, very satisfying to remove it.
Did I miss anything? Have worlds collided? Is the end near?
