Wished my parents would do this.......oh wait, I am almost 44 years old! But if I weren't they would buy me a bike from K-Mart thinking the Huffy was a great bike. Thing is, they just have or would not have any idea! That is okay because I come from a different generation and in 1976 I did get a very nice Schwinn 3 speed with a bananna seat with a sissy bar that Christmas! Now for you young folks in the early mid 70's a Schwinn was top of the line bikes from a defunk store known as Western Auto! Ahhhh, bringing back great childhood memories now.
But back to my point OP...............that is great they want to assist you in a great sport that is also great for exercise! I hope to someday go to my LBS and fork out some jack for my daughter to ride!
So to your choices..........hmmmmm, I really don't know much of either so toss a coin! BTW......Congrats and be thankful you have parents who care about you.
