Not even a goat head thorn through the sidewall can diminish the joy of a bare arms and legs ride in the winter sun. Had a good pace ride, which was supposed to be on the TT bike, but wasn't, because my BB doesn't want to let go of the crankset without a lot of rubber mallet pounding, which I'm reticent to do, very often, with my SRM. I've tried lots of grease, different grease, etc. It's just too damned tight, IMO. Allegedly the same (Enduro) bearings as on the TT bike, but in a BB86 housing rather than a threaded. This BB replaced one that didn't have a plastic sleeve, resulting in the crank clipping the bearing itself during one of the changes, sending ceramic bearings shooting around the garage, not all of which were found. I think I just might have cussed a bit when that happened.

Spaced the remaining bearings evenly and rode it until I got a new one. Top end of pace right now is 222. I wasn't too far below that, despite the normal factors causing stopping, slowing, freewheeling, etc.. like to not kill the little white off-leash punt-kick dog that couldn't decide where it wanted to go. I have no problem with off-leash dogs, but when you know hitting them will cut them in half, it gives you pause. For me anyway, not so sure about our hard-core midwest and right coast peeps. Here is the workout portion of the ride:
