I remember reading about it in print magazines. I was in IL and the races were nowhere near me.

My LBS had a GT that I test-rode... I liked the concept but I was 20+ years old at the time (~6-ft tall) and it was a very cramped & aggressive ride so I didn't buy one. The frame was about the same size as a normal BMX frame.

There's not a lot of info online about it I've ever found.
