Ride started with
#1-66 pulling @ 20mph then
#2-66 at 19mph then 45 at 20mph and held that way until The Kid took over going 23.5mph into a 10/15mph head wind. At mile 7 he jumped and I was the only one to catch his wheel. 21mph to 27mph until mile 32.8 at rest stop.
Point is, at our age if you ride fast with somebody faster you will get faster.
p.s.-if it don't kill you first.

But you're right - I've gotten faster partly by working at it in training and partly by riding with the fast guys. I was in a rut when I just did local group rides and centuries. I couldn't get faster riding with the B group, even though they're a great bunch of folks.
