I am going to start commuting to and from school the beginning of the next quarter. I currently ride a Bianchi San Jose for errands, and was going to use this bike as my commuter. I picked up a pair of Ortlieb Classic Back Roller panniers. I just have one issue, when going to and from classes, I would like to take my panniers with me, and leave my stuff inside. I am nervous to leave them on a bike and use a cable lock, as it wouldn't take much fudging to get it off. However, I would then be carrying both in each hand, and I would like to have one free.

I assume this would only carry one pannier. Anyone have any experience with something like this?
