Here is my Motobecane I set up as my first fixed gear... I re-dished the rear wheel and took off the rear brake. Has good pedal clearance when turning and it's a blast to ride. it's got a 52 tooth chainring up front and a 16 tooth cog in back. I haven't regretted the gearing yet and I've ridden it to and from work a few times...
