If you're dropping the chain twice a ride you have something wrong: Derailleur position, alignment, limit stops, cable tension. The possible exception would be if you have developed the habit of fully cross chaining the big ring before dropping onto the small ring, in which case you would have an increased risk of chain drop regardless of groupset or components.
I had no problems watsoever with 6700 before putting in the SRAM crank. After that I had to learn to let off the gas to change gears making me a "smoother rider". I did adjustments and it started shifting great. Then it started dropping the chain to the outside then the inside. Adjusted again and good, then a few hundred miles again dropping. In the end it is the fact that it needs adjustment every 200-300 miles. I've had the chain get stuck quite a few times and it is scary. I think the FD is bent by now from all the play. I've taken it to 3 different shops for pro tunning with no success. I just loved being carefree with the 6700. I am seriously considering putting the 6700 rings in the Quarq even if it will look hideous. I've even gone on rides with my tools just to adjust the FD and just when I think I got it down perfect, 3 days after good bye chain and scratch bend everything!

I'm sure I'll be happy with the DA9000. Given that I dropped the chain once in 3k miles with the original 6700 and about 100 times with the quarq in about 2k miles I'd give it that the Quarq rings and chain suck. Then again it might be me.

Also, I pay HUGE attention to not cross chain and it takes me about 3 seconds to switch from small to large ring.
