A friend of mine is always looking for something new to do. He got a bike, a Cannondale Synapse Ultegra. So I broke out my 1987 Specialized Sirrus which had been sitting in the back yard, exposed for at least 15 years. Cleaning it up, regreased the bearings, riding it while in process. All 105 group except for the BB, that was swapped for a Dura Ace not long after I got it, the original 105 melted down. It has the original 52/42 biopace crank and HG 12-23 6sp cogs in the back. Everything is cleaning up nice, some items just take a bit more scrubbing than others. The only change I would like to make would be to gear it better for hills. Or I could just ride more and get my legs in better shape.

I swear it rolls as good as that Cannondale, handles great, is incredibly comfortable, and I have no problems keeping up. Damn, I still love this bike!!
