Specialized makes a touring shoe, rated at the same stiffness as the better Tahoe, which is most likely the MTB shoe you have. I have done thousands of road miles in Tahoe's with no issue, but wanted the smoother sole of a touring shoe. Louis Garneau makes a touring shoe, Multi Light (?), which is two bolt and significantly stiffer than the Tahoe. Sizing runs smaller than the Tahoes, and I am trying to break them in to be as comfortable. If I can't resolve the fit, I will order the Specialized Touring shoe.

I have used Look Quartz pedals, and absolutely love them. Double sided, lightish weight, and the float is in the cleat, so no screwing around with the pedal. But I believe them to be discontinued, so I have no clue how you feel in buying in to an already gone tech.
