Had to let one go
Gee wiz, it really is hard to see one of my classics leave the herd. I rode this one quite a bit. Knew it from the day it was purchased in 83.
I sold the Miyata 610 along with another one to a husband and wife team. They toured on them for 10 years, had kids, pulled a Burley, and rode them some more. Finally traded them in on a pair of Giant Cypresses. Getting older, you know.
Rode one of them for a while, gave the other to a guy I knew that had to have transportation to work and home.
Converted to gravel grinder this year, and it was superb in that capacity. Have a new (yes, literally new) 84 1000 begging to be put on the road so the 610 had to go. Next to leave has to be the Fuji Series V America. That one has some serious history as I have known it all its life.
I swear these things are like children to me.
