Yep - I've always had uncommonly good luck locating older parts...then again, when I need a specific part, I bug just about every relevant forum on the internet about it! Hehe!
In fact, that's how I found most of the new brightwork for the Continental. Got a front 'mag' chainwheel, front/rear derailer, seat binder, cable stop mounts, seatpost and a pair of Schwinn Approved-labled Weinmann 999s for $25...all came off a '75 Varsity. I'd put a wager that you'd say the parts are NOS if you saw it in person - but they ain't. Just excellent, slightly used parts.
