A thought:

If your rear rack gets wobbly (you'd have to be a heavy packer, I think. That seatpost clamp will probably do ya.), you could tie the right hand side of the rack to the seatstay braze on by putting another metal "slider" on -- doubling up with the one that's already there going up to the seatpost clamp. Dig?

I like the Barcons, and respect the V-Brake choice. So much easier to adjust on the road. Question, though: Why bother with the whole travel agent thing when you could just have gotten the Tektro V-Brake ready road levers?
