Magnesium is an interesting metal to cast as it likes to burn. As Mercedes found out long ago at La Mans.
It seems that Kirk, of Kirk Precision frame, found out as well when the factory went through a fierce fire caused by a magnesium dust explosion. Temperamental stuff.
